Here's the not so good news. On Sunday, I started feeling very sharp pains in my abdomen and cramping, and then I started bleeding a few hours later. We talked to the on-call doctor at our health center and she told us that if the pain gets worse and the bleeding gets worse then we should go to the emergency room, but if not we should try to get an appointment with our doctor on Monday morning. Eventually, Scott and I decided that we didn't want to wait to find out what was wrong, so we went to the ER. There, the doctors did an ultrasound, took blood, and did other tests to find out what was wrong. They told me that I had a subchorionic hemorrage that was relatively large. At about 2:30 am, they discharged me, telling me to come back if it got worse and to call the health center first thing in the morning to schedule an appointment.
This morning, I woke up to find out that I had bled some more, and we made an appointment with the doctor. They did another ultrasound and measured the hemorrage, and it had gotten a bit bigger. So, I am supposed to lay low for a while and take it easy, though I'm not officially on bed rest. Anyhow, the pregnancy is completely healthy and the baby is fine, but we simply have to wait and see if the hemorrage will stabilize, so keep us in your prayers. Enjoy the pictures!
