8 Things

OK, Brittany did it, so now I have to too. So, eight confessions about myself...

1. I really, really like my face, especially my jaw. I honestly believe that I have the perfect face.

2. I am addicted to text messaging. I do it in class even. It's sick.

3. Sometimes I wish I were Hindu...

4. The toilet paper has to hang with the end away from the wall. I can't stand it when the toilet paper roll is unrolling towards the wall. It's one of my BIGGEST pet peeves. I hate it.

5. OK. Big confession. When it comes to marriage, I'd rather have money and simply be content that to be in love and worry about bills. *ouch*

6. When I was five, our street flooded and I noticed a bunch of hairless caterpillars clinging to the tops of the long-grass as the water slowly rose. I decided that instead of letting them meet their doom, I'd save them. As I went about doing this, I looked down into my hand, which held about 10 caterpillars of all sizes, and I saw that a big fat one was eating a baby one! (Or at least appeared to be eating it.) I was so terrified that I threw all the caterpillars away from me, which means I threw them into the water, and ran all the way home. I'm afraid of caterpillars to this day. And worms too. *jibbely*

7. I like to eat cheese and peanut butter on crackers. Together. At the same time. I think it's delicious.

8. I still sleep with my blankie. Sometimes when I'm crying late at night, I even wipe my nose on it. O.O

Well, those are my eight confessions. I kept them relatively PG. Except for the caterpillar story. That one's more like a PG-13 horror film. *shiver*

Tests

OK, so I just had about the best day ever! First of all, when I woke up this morning, I checked online to see my test score for one of my really hard classes, and I got an 94%. How great is that? And then, I was feeling really sick and kinda down and my good friend called me asking me if I wanted a pumpkin. It was a big surprise and totally random, so it made me happy, especially when she brought it over. We used markers to decorate them (they weren't the carveable kind) and they were so cute! Then, I went to class and it was pretty discouraging, but when I got home, I said a prayer, felt much better, and got to studying. I studied ALL THE REST OF THAT DAY, getting really discouraged because of the test I had to take later on. I took a dinner break and checked the mail and guess what?! My sari came! It was so exciting, I came home right away and tried it on. I couldn't get it on right, cause I'm not Indian, obviously, but it was still pretty. Well, that cheered me up and I went back to studying, the whole time retaining a lot of information that I don't think I could have kept without the help of the Lord. Then I went to take the test. I felt like I flew through it and knew that answer to almost every question. When I got out of the testing room, the scanner was broken, so I didn't get to see my score right away, but I checked just now online and I got a 95%. How awesome is that? I seriously feel so blessed and grateful. It's been a great day.

Soccer

K, so I just went to the most AWESOMEST soccer game ever! Well first of all, I went to my friend's intramural soccer game. They beat the other team 8 to 0. It was pretty awesome and I was really impressed with my friend's skills. It was kinda annoying how little competition there was, but it's always awesome to kick the other team's butts. Right after the game, we to the BYU girl's soccer game. It was pretty much the most amazing soccer game I've ever seen. First of all, there's this girl on the team named Katie Larkin who is totally amazing, and at just the right moment she turns on her magical soccer superpowers and does something mind-blowing. For this game, it was tied 1 to 1 with two minutes left to go when she tuned in to her extra power source. She basically took on 5 girls from the other team at once, then scored the winning point in the upper corner of the goal - a perfect shot. It was the happiest moment of my life as a soccer lover. After the game, my friend and I practiced soccer for a while. She is teaching me, and so far I am pretty happy with my progress. I am just having a hard time kicking the ball far and with enough power. It still feels awkward, but I'm sure I'll get the hang of it. I am optimistic about it anyway. Learning to kick a soccer ball is so fun! Woot!

Stupid/Great Jokes

OK, so coolest thing ever. I just click this little button here...and voila! I am writing in Hindu script!! Wanna see? माँ तिमिलाई सर्ही मॅन परोअछोऊ। I don't know if I spelled that right...but cool huh? (It is supposed to say "I love you very much")

Oh, so I heard some really great jokes today. Ahem.

Q: Why didn't the melons get married? A: Cause they can't elope! (Cantaloupe!)
Q: Why can't they elope? A: Because they can't say "Honey I do!" (Honeydew!)

Why don't you make like a dolphin and get the flip out of here??
Why don't you make like a tree and leave??
Why don't you make like a banana and split??

Q: What do you get when three elephants jump off a cliff? Two hit the ground and one hits the water. A: A "buh-dunn CHING!"

OK, that's probably enough corniness to last a lifetime. But like I say, I don't have a sense of humor. I have a sense of the ridiculous. That is a quote from somewhere...I can't remember where though. Anyway, gotta study!

AH! My first blog!

Hey! So, when I saw that Brittany had a blog, I knew that I had to have one too. I mean, I couldn't have her being all cool with a blog and me not have a blog. Actually, I just saw hers and got so excited I made myself one right away, haha. So thanks Brittany, for inspiring me.

Well, I am trying to pretend to study right now for my Book of Mormon test. It should be pretty easy, but I am a procrastinator, so I haven't gotten it done yet. I have been so busy! I worked twice already this week in the office, and am just going RA crazy! It's a fun job though. It pays the bills anyway...well, most of them. Thanks Dad and Mom for the rest!

That's it or my first blog. I will have more to come, I'm sure. I love blogging! That's why I have facebook and MySpace (though BYU blocks it) and the MyFamily website. It's so fun to blog. Welp, later!
